reset: A Course on reentry
A 6-Session Series for Life Beyond Incarceration.
At the House of Hope, we believe every person deserves the opportunity for a fresh start. Too often, returning citizens leaving prison face overwhelming barriers—housing, employment, relationships, and the weight of their past. Without guidance and support, many struggle to find their footing.
That’s why the House of Hope established reset: to provide a pathway of hope, faith, and practical tools that empower individuals to successfully reintegrate and thrive.
RESET is a practical and faith-based reentry course designed to help incarcerated individuals prepare for a successful transition back into society. Through six interactive sessions, participants gain the tools, guidance, and support needed to move beyond survival and step into a purposeful future.

RESET combines honest conversations, real-life strategies, and biblical insights to address the core challenges of reentry. Each session focuses on equipping participants to:
Understand Reentry – Prepare mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the realities of life after incarceration.
Overcome Barriers – Develop strategies to face challenges such as employment, housing, and rebuilding relationships.
Building a Support Network – Connect with mentors, faith leaders, and community resources committed to walking alongside them.
Plan with Purpose #1 (Workshop): Build a personalized reentry roadmap grounded in vision, goals, and accountability.
Plan with Purpose #2 (Workshop): Present your reentry plan, gain feedback, and refine your path forward.
Live with Purpose & Take Action – Embrace a new identity, build resilience, and learn how to contribute positively to families and communities.

RESET is more than an educational program; it is a transformational journey. Participants gain:
A renewed sense of hope and identity.
Practical tools for navigating real-world obstacles.
Access to a network of support for life beyond incarceration.
Confidence to not only reintegrate but also to thrive and lead with purpose.
-
RESET offers a structured, faith-based framework that complements existing reentry efforts and aligns with institutional goals:
Reinforces responsibility and accountability.
Builds resilience to reduce recidivism.
Strengthens community connections that support long-term reintegration.
Provides a safe space for growth through guided discussions and peer encouragement.
the reset difference.
Unlike programs that focus only on logistics, RESET addresses the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. It creates an environment where individuals are not only equipped with skills but also inspired to pursue a new way of life. RESET equips returning citizens with the tools, hope, and support they need to thrive, not just on the outside, but for the rest of their lives.
